A case showing how IT governance can be a business savor.
The Client: an international orange juice maker
The company we worked with has operations on five continents and is responsible for 20% of the world market and complex logistics for producing and distributing orange juice.
Challenge: implementing a large SAP S4/HANA
After an audit requested by the Board of Directors, we identified many IT risk points. In addition, the company needed to prepare to implement a very large SAP S4/HANA project, considered the largest project of its nature, in the world, for the agribusiness sector. Therefore, IT governance and management practices would take place.
Key outcomes:
1. A comprehensive assessment
A diagnosis of IT governance and management practices was prepared based on COBIT, identifying the capabilities of each process.
2. IT governance implementation
With the roadmap and the details, we started implementation, defining processes, documenting, training the team and automating using Service Now. The project took 16 months.
3. Risk-free software
The project resolved the risks identified by the audit, organized IT and its relationship with suppliers and provided continuity of services during the pandemic and the successful implementation of SAP S4/HANA, a project with more than ten suppliers and 58 modules, integrating the entire logistics chain, from the orchard to distribution to end customers on five continents.
